Our  Trustees

Professor Steve Schey (Chairman) is a Consultant Haematologist and Head of Myeloma Services at Kings College Hospital, London. He has been a trustee since November 2013.

Paul Smith was Tumour Group Lead at the Haematology Trials Group at University College London until his retirement in 2016. He is an author on a number of publications about lymphoma and has been a trustee since 2017.

Professor Stephen Devereux is a Consultant Haematologist at Kings College Hospital London & Professor of Lymphoma Biology at Kings College London. He is involved in clinical trials and laboratory research in lymphoma and has been a trustee since May 2018.

Dr Christopher McNamara is a Consultant Haematologist in the lymphoma service at University College London Hospital. He completed post-graduate training in Australia and in France before appointment as a consultant at the Royal Free, London in 2004. He moved to UCLH in 2015 and became a trustee in 2022.

Dr Graham Collins is lymphoma lead and associate professor of Haematology at Oxford University Hospitals. He is active in clinical research and runs a number of trials in Hodgkin and high-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He is deputy chair of the national lymphoma clinical study group. He sits on a number of national clinical trial oversight committees and is a clinical expert on the national CAR-T cell panel. He also has trustee experience with Lymphoma Action, a national charity for the support of patients and carers affected with lymphoma.  He became a trustee of the Lymphoma Research Trust in 2022.

Penny Clarke gained pharmaceutical experience before running a medical education agency to support the dissemination of new trial data in a number of therapeutic areas until her retirement in 2017.  She is a fNHL patient turned advocate, participating in several patient participation initiatives within the Oxford group of hospitals. She is an active volunteer for Lymphoma Action and a member of the Lymphoma Coalitions’ European Community Advisory board.  She became a trustee in 2023.

Michael Ainley worked for the Bank of England for over 40 years, including 3 years as Senior Adviser to the Deputy Governor for Supervision.  Since retiring in 2020 he has undertaken a number of voluntary roles including Vice Chair of Governors of a primary school and acting as supervisor and mentor of undergraduate students at a London university.  He became a trustee in 2023.

Professor Jessica Okosun is a Consultant Haematologist in the Lymphoma Service at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, and Professor of Translational Cancer Research at Barts Cancer Institute.  She leads the translational programmes on a number of UK lymphoma clinical trials as well as a laboratory research group in lymphoma biology.  She became a trustee in 2023.
